I play games wrong all the time. My group played The Shadow of Yesterday wrong for years, and I’m best pals with the guy who wrote it and see him every week. We played Primetime Adventures wrong for years and like our wrong ideas so much we kept some of them when we learned better.
At conventions I often feel like the guy holding out a handful of foreign coins for the cashier to count and nobody has ever given me a hard time about it. I don’t understand FATE and just say “guys, what do I stack on what to spin what” and people help me. And we all have a good time.
Go play some games and relax, it will be excellent.
